Thanking God for…
::a beautiful homily at Mass about the Holy Ghost
::sleeping next to Chris
::chocolate sheet cake for his birthday (yes I ate a small piece even though it’s not Trim Healthy Mama)
::praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet with Bernadette and Veronica on Sunday
::laughing at Bernadette’s quick wit–she is so funny y’all
::Bridget taking care of Chris–back rubs, helping him work outside, etc.
::Leo calling cicadas “small tornadoes” I have no idea where he got that!

Praying…
I really, really, really need to be intentional about praying not only for my children but also for their future spouse. I read an article the other day about stuff I don’t want to read about: pornography and our children…UGH and GROSS!!! It’s not enough to pray for our own children, we have to pray for their friends and future spouses; the things our kids are being exposed to are divorce makers…I do not want that for my kids.  (See my Prayer Journal post for some prayers I composed for my children.)

Pondering…
I am wondering “What In The World” is going on with our world?!!?!! I try not to keep up with too much news, but there is no way to avoid all the Planned Parenthood junk. It is sickening y’all. People are upset about a lion getting killed, which they should be, it sounds like a shady hunt. But while people are on a man hunt for the lion killer Planned Parenthood is killing babies…which is bad enough, but killing babies to sell for their body parts!?! Really?! And the Federal Government is funding this company?! And this company is making a HUGE profit?!? What In The World y’all?!?!!?

Listening to…
Luke is wandering around whistling, the air conditioner is running and the kids are watching some old movie. Musically, I am listening to Overwhelmed by Big Daddy Weave. I am feeling very overwhelmed y’all. I need to focus on being overwhelmed by God and not the world.

In the Kitchen…
So you know I’m a Trim Healthy Mama (except chocolate sheet cake for my husband’s birthday) and I’m also a super busy momma of many. I found the perfect thing to combine eating in a way that makes me feel good but not having to scour the internet for new recipes and meal plans. Build a Menu! Have you heard of it? It’s like some of the other menu planning sites out there, but this one has Trim Healthy Mama recipes included! Here are some other things I am loving about Build a Menu: they offer a variety of meal planning options (Dine on a Dime, Family Friendly–it’s two homeschooling mommas who created it, Low Carb, Weight Watchers Points, Gluten Free, Allergy Free–no gluten, dairy or nuts, Vegetarian and Slow Cooker). They also tally your expected costs as you meal plan based on your grocery store so you’ll have a rough guess what your bill might be. Anyway, can you tell I’m impressed with the program and the fact that it’s Trim Healthy Mama friendly.
