Welcome to My Daybook Online Journal. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.

Pondering…
Listening to…
I have been listening to this song, Promises, first thing every morning since I found it last week! It’s a great way to start the day.

Bible Reading…
Our Online Bible Study Community is reading, writing, praying, and studying the Book fo Job right now. It sounded like a good idea pre-pandemic, lol! Job is kind of a tough book to love. As one of the girls said, “I just want to slap ’em all!” And we’ve all agreed it’s tough to tell who’s talking and who’s the bad guy or the good friend! I’m positive the only thing keeping some of going is the fact that we’re reading it together and meeting weekly on Facebook/Zoom to discuss it.
Around the House…
We…and by “we” I mean Veronica because she’s patient and meticulous enough, has been painting! We’ve painted the living room, dining room, entry hall, and kitchen. The color I chose is a beautiful creamy white, Swiss Coffee. It looks so clean, fresh, inviting, and bright without screaming bright white!
I want a big picture to go above the bookshelf in the living room and just thought I’d find something at Hobby Lobby once they open back up but instead, Veronica has this gorgeous picture she took here on the farm! We’ve played with some editing to make it soft and creamy looking and now I just need to have it made into a large canvas. It’s going to look amazing! Remind me to show you when we get it.
I’m not putting back up the old decorations. I don’t have a lot of decorations anyway but the ones I’ve had I’m changing out. I love this soft Boho Rainbow print, these Minimalist Watercolor prints.
In the Kitchen…
Oh my goodness. Who else wants a big ‘ol date night with chips and queso!??! We go between fruit smoothies and salads to frozen pizza and tater tots…you too?

Self Care
It’s almost like the movie Groundhog Day every morning around here when I put on essential oils or load up the diffuser. I am just amazed at the power oils have on the body. Citrus oils are guaranteed to lift our mood, Frankincense smooths anxious or grumpy emotions, etc. Did you realize it only takes 22 seconds for essential oils to reach the brain, 2 minutes into the bloodstream, and 20 minutes to the whole body!
(I used to purchase my essential oils from Amazon or Edens Garden instead of a distributor. You can read my thoughts on why here, “Where I’m From…” I’ve since decided I don’t have the time or resources to properly educate myself on using the oils to their fullest potential. That’s why I signed up with Young Living under a former Family Practice Physician.)
