I’m keeping a running list of thanksgiving–30 Days of Thanksgiving to be exact–for the month of November. I’m forcing myself to remember Thanksgiving is a choice, a way of thinking and a way of life. It’s more than just a day at the end of the month of November. I’m inviting you to please join me. Who cares if it’s already November 7th, jump in anyway! If you blog, leave a link in the comments. If you don’t leave your list in the comments.

I’m thankful for the toilet that overflowed early this morning (sorry for TMI, but with #2!). I didn’t handle it very well at first, but when all was said and done, a much needed cleaning was finally completed! I guess I need a bit of a nudge sometimes. I keep going in there just to smell it and have a look around.
Oh and I must mention the kitchen floor that I figured I might as well do while I was all pumped up with adrenaline. Honestly, it probably wouldn’t have gotten done and it was starting to rob me of my peace.
I think one of the best things that came of it was the reaffirmation that good really does come of everything that seems evil or otherwise unfortunate.
I’m also thankful to have seen Big Hero 6. It’s a great movie. I rarely do this and boy did I need it. We all did. I’m especially grateful for taking cash on my husband’s suggestion because the debit card machine was broken! It’s the little things, right?
God bless.

Good for you Michelle for seeing the good in a stinky situation–sorry, couldn’t resist. And it is the little things, absolutely.

P.S. I am excited about your Advent devotional!

Headed over there now Sarah. I’m excited about the Advent Devotional too! Without sounding prideful, looking through it the other night, I forgot how much I liked it–how much it spoke to me about the way I want to spend my Advent.

I love your challenge. Challenging yourself to add to the list, but also frequently sharing with your viewers–which in reality challenges us too 🙂 .
Thank you for visiting me and leaving a thoughtful comment on Growing In His Grace.
Am headed over to facebook now to “like” and check it out 🙂 I just started a facebook page for our site and I’ve gotta learn from those who go before me!
Blessings,

Love this challenge Jenny! Today, I’m definitely grateful for a fireplace and somewhere safe and warm for my children. Great reminder!
Jenny says
Our fireplace is going right now Jessi. During the day it has been warm off to let it die down, but at night we start it back up.
