Welcome to the Daybook. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.
Thanking God for…
::the end of Advent and the beginning of Christmas
::my father in law still healthy and active
::a quiet, slow Christmas
::inviting a family from church over
::snacky Christmas Eve food
::gift certificates to our favorite small town Mexican restaurant
::the new Catholic Journaling Bible
Praying…
I’m continuing the prayers from my St. Andrew novena plus a few more. I’m praying about the upcoming year–things I need to say ‘yes’ to and things I need to say ‘no’ to. Looking at long-term goals and making sure my day to day line up, if not, one needs to change, either the day to day or the long term. I think this week at Adoration I’ll have this all clarified and ready to hash out with God.

This week I am going to be digging into my new Catholic Journaling Bible!! I cannot wait! This Bible is beautiful and knowing me and my love of the Bible, I will most likely start in the Book of Philippians.

Our Domestic Church…
We have now entered the Christmas season! The 27th is the Feast of St. John the Evangelist, 28th Feast of the Holy Innocents (Childermas), the 29th Feast of St. Thomas Becket, 31st Feast of St. Sylvester, and the Epiphany is coming up January 6th.
Saving Money…
Time to review the budget and make adjustments. Wre always go off plan October, Novemeber, and December. So, I think the first thing we need to do is make adjustments so it may look like we’re off budget, but really we’re still working our budget.
