Welcome to the Daybook. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.

Praying…
We are finishing our novena for Veronica’s college discernment. She’s made her decision and now we’ll make a novena in thanksgiving…while um, praying about the financial aspect.

Bible Journaling…
I have a couple of projects swirling around right now and my Bible journaling has taken a back seat. I’m still reading, just not getting all creative in my Bible.
Around the House…
Laundry! Dishes! Why do you seem to multiply with my creative ideas? As soon as I get swamped in my own head, you seem to try to take over the house. Go away!
In the Kitchen…
MMmmm, tonight we’re having a Chicken Stroganoff recipe Chris’ cousin made for us right after we had our 4th baby. I haven’t made it in a while. Anna has realized sugar is a contributing factor in her acne breakouts so she is loosely following Trim Healthy Mama…which means she makes sweet treats and shares them with me.
Self Care
Last week I sporadically walked and stretched. The days I did, I felt amazing. The days I didn’t, I felt like normal ‘ol Jenny. I also started listening to audiobooks while I’m on the treadmill. Although I’m not fond of this way to “read” I am “reading” more. I’m a slow reader because I’ve trained myself to stop and highlight or make notes as I read. I’m finding, that’s not always necessary. Sometimes just having a general feel for the book can be enough. At least that’s what I’m telling myself.

Our Domestic Church…
St. Philomena and St. Clare both have feast days this week. If you are looking for a super simple way to get started with the saints and their feast days, please get this book, Lives of The Saints: For Everyday in the Year. As you do your weekly planning, you can flip ahead and see what feast days are coming up and make a plan.
Saving Money…
You know how you always hear about saving money for your kids college? That is no joke. Please, take that advice seriously. I know you don’t think you can, especially when there are times you may have 3 in diapers at once, don’t ask me how I know. Anything saved is better than nothing saved.
Hi Jenny!
Could you please, in your spare time,.( Ha ha) make a playlist of some of the music that you listen to. I loved listening to the music this time and I’m really not up on the latest and newest sources of Christian music. I do singg in the choir at church, so I have kind of a playlist of hymns that I like but I would love to have a playlist of more modern is that the right word Christian music. Love to read the littlest way it makes me thankful for the gifts God has given me. Have a blessed day.
