Welcome to the Daybook. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.

Praying…
My scheduled surgery for the 24th of this month obviously didn’t happen since I/we had the flu. It has been rescheduled for next month.
Bridget asked if I would start praying the St. Bridget Prayers with her. Although the older girls prayed them years ago, I never did. I’ve included the younger boys and Luke in our prayer time. I made Bridget and Luke a binder that has the prayers printed out and a chart to help them keep track. We prayed them for 2 days and then got sick. Needless to say, we’re starting over.
While making Luke and Bridget a prayer binder, I remembered how much I used to use mine but then got out of the habit while trying different times, places and ways to pray. I reconstructed my prayer binder in a little different format. I forgot how much I honestly love using a prayer binder.
Pondering…
Unfortunately, my mind has been on overdrive pondering since I’ve been sick. Usually, my mind goes back to my parenting. I have been overwhelmed with parenting. Overwhelmed in good and bad ways. It has been the greatest joy I have ever known and the hardest, most heartbreaking thing I have ever done. It has taken me by surprise with it’s peaks and valleys. I don’t want anything other than to be a great wife to Chris and a great mom to my children–but that’s really quite subjective. Who judges if I’m a great mom in this life? And how is it judged?
Listening to…
There were many nights in the last week to 10 days where I have pulled my Amazon Prime music up on my phone and listened to praise and worship music. I was too sick to pray and I missed God.

Bible Journaling…
The folks at Drawn to Faith sent me a Catholic Journaling Bible and I love it! I had purchased one of their Bibles a couple of months ago when they came out. There were some printing errors and once they got them fixed, they offered to send me a Bible. Not only that, they offered to send a couple along for me to give away. This week, once I get back on my internet legs completely from being sick, I will fill you in on how you can win one. Here are a couple of entries I did the other day.
Around the House…
I have so much laundry to get caught up on it is not.even.funny. In much happier news, I love my yellow living room! The tile guy finished my bathroom shower and I need to pick out a color for Veronica to paint our front room.
In the Kitchen…
I need to figure out how to use the odds and ends Chris came home with every time he went to the store.
The other night, I took a frozen solid roast, about 2 pounds of potatoes I quartered, 1 sliced onion, a couple cloves of garlic and some beef broth. I put them in my Instant Pot and pressed “Manuel” for 70 minutes. It was so yummy–well the meat was, I didn’t eat the potatoes.

Here are some old posts I’ve written during Lent.
Saving Money…
Ibotta, Ibotta, Ibotta. I cannot say enough great things about Ibotta y’all. Everytime we go to the store we find something we’ve already bought is on Ibotta and we can get cash back on it–everytime.
I absolutely love your bible art! I also like the font that you’re using in the text of this post.
Thank you girl! I’m figuring out what I like and don’t like–can do and not do, lol!
