Welcome to How to Live the Little Way. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.
* I’ve written an ebook to guide you through the whys and hows to get started with Bible Journaling, Bible Journaling Tips, Inspiration and Permission, and to encourage and inspire you in your Bible journaling!

The younger boys bought recorders in the college gift shop. The rule is they can only blow them outside. I can still hear them.

Around the House…
Fall is finally in the air but we can’t open all the windows yet because Ragweed is also in the air; Chris and Bridget suffer from Ragweed allergies.
In the Kitchen…
Um, I went to Walmart, Sams, and Aldis last Friday when Chris got paid. The fridge and pantry were pretty bare and now they’re not but the checkbook is.

Self Care
I think I might have an unhappy gallbladder? From a recovering hypochondriac, this is a struggle to not rush to the doctor and have all the tests. Chris says something is just irritated or inflamed and things take time to settle down. I’m not having emergency symptoms or even life hindering so he says just wait a bit. I trust his judgment when mine is faulty.

Enrollment for next month’s Online Bible Study Community opens this week!! Our group is finishing up Psalm 119 this week and it’s been a good discipline of sticking with one Psalm the entire month.
Our Domestic Church…
I love that October is the month dedicated to the Rosary! It’s been our nightly family prayer for more years than I can even remember.
Saving Money…
I called the insurance company this morning. We have a $2K bill from when I went to the ER in June because we were concerned I might have had a blood clot in my leg. It was after of week of driving to and from Kansas in one day and then a 12-hour drive to Galveston and home in the same week. After talking to my retired OB/GYN we decided I should go in and have it checked. The ER agreed and called in the Radiologist. And then they billed it as non-emergency. My insurance apparently and very new to me information doesn’t cover a non-emergency ER visit. I remained calm and concise on the phone this morning and the claim is now being adjusted to an emergency ER visit. And even though we haven’t met our deductible yet, which is a “Thanks be to God” we’re healthy but really hits the checkbook, the bill will be slightly lower according to the insurance company. Make the calls friends, the worse that can happen is you still owe exactly what they said originally.
