Welcome to How to Live the Little Way. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.

Pondering…
My mind seems to be on an analyzing overdrive right now! People are interesting, annoying, mysterious, and so darn “peopley.”
Listening to…
Right this very minute? The audio version of the Brozen Bow with Luke. We’ve learned he’s an auditory learner. With the help of a friend, I’ve also just realized it helps him to have someone with him while he’s learning and if he follows along in the book–a trifecta of learning. So we’re sitting on my bed, listening to the audiobook, he’s reading along and I’m writing this post, among others.

Bible Reading…
A few notes I’ve taken this past week while reading through the Bible in 90 Days with YouVersion. If you have the app, let’s be friends over there!
Deuteronomy 34:10
Moses knew the Lord face to face
Deuteronomy 34:6
The Lord buried Moses
Deuteronomy 30:20
The key to life!!!
Deuteronomy 30:4
God knows where I am!
Deuteronomy 29:5
God still provides in the desert!
A quick explanation on how I read the Bible–read, not study. As I read, if I think it, I make a note of what I was thinking. Simple.
Around the House…
Well, we defrosted out deep freezer around midnight last night. Actually much earlier, maybe around 3pm? But when we got home from the firework stand we noticed a puddle of water at the base of the freezer. Someone has accidentally left the door cracked…defrosted freezer. Thankfully it only had two packages of meat in it and a bunch of discounted bread. We tossed the meat and moved the bread to another freezer. Oh and corndogs; there were a few corndogs eaten after we moved the freezer out on the driveway.
In the Kitchen…
Please, remind me ALL the time how much I love and need to use my crockpot. Why do I not use this magical thing all the blessed time?!? Do you have some favorite crockpot meals?

Self Care
I spent the entire month of June following a training program my son’s assistant soccer coach tweaked for me. I cannot stop telling him “Thank you!” I cannot stop telling Chris, “Feel my muscles!” You could say it’s been good! Add in regular use of my favorite essential oils and June was definitely a great month!
(I used to purchase my essential oils from Amazon or Edens Garden instead of a distributor. You can read my thoughts on why here, “Where I’m From…” I’ve since decided I don’t have the time or resources to properly educate myself on using the oils to their fullest potential. That’s why I signed up with Young Living under a former Family Practice Physician.)
Some of my favorite diffuser blends right now: sitting here with Luke listening to his book I’m diffusing Orange and Peppermint. In the living room, I’m diffusing Cypress and Orange and in the dining room, I have Joy and Orange going. Orange is by far one of my favorite oils. It’s an amazing mood booster.
The Littlest Way
In case I haven’t told you lately, I appreciate you. I love your private messages of questions, encouragement, and your own personal stories. Each one of you encourage me and inspire me. I love the community of sisters we have here and in our Online Bible Study Community.
Our Domestic Church…
July is traditionally dedicated to the Most Precious Blood of Jesus. Do you do anything to celebrate the month of July liturgically?
Saving Money…
Chris has started having a little bit of money automatically taken from his check and put into our Emergency Fund. We’ve always known this was a thing, and a good thing as a matter of fact. We just didn’t realize how easy and effective it would be.
