Welcome to My Daybook Online Journal. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. Pondering…
I have put on some quarantine weight; I’ve seen meme’s with the “Quarantine 15” or the “Covid 19”, I don’t own a scale so I cannot confirm or deny I might fall into one of the categories, ahem. I’ve still been working out since my gym closed although not as intense and as frequently, enough I think. My Peanut M&M consumption has actually decreased since the quarantine but my jeans are tight, another ahem. So I started trying to figure this out and I came up with smoothie bowls of all things. Nothing else has changed in my life since the quarantine except for the fact that the last couple of weeks I’ve eaten a smoothie bowl every day. They are healthy smoothie bowls mind you: frozen fruit blended with 0% vanilla Greek yogurt and spinach topped with bananas, kiwi, more fruit, unsweetened coconut flakes, chia seeds, and sometimes granola. I think they are just too much sugar for my body, even naturally occurring sugar. I hate that the weight gain can be attributed to something so healthy and yummy, but, I’m glad I figured it out and it’s a straightforward solution.

Bible Reading…
Are you reading Proverbs in May with us? I challenged you via social media and I “force challenged” my family to read a chapter of Proverbs a day in May; 31 chapters in the Book of Proverbs and 31 days in May. Tag me, email me, or message me and let me know you’ve read your chapter for the day and at the end of the month I’ll draw for some prizes!!
Here are some notes I’ve taken recently in my daily reading in the YouVersion app.
Matthew 6:21
Lord, strengthen my desire to pursue You
Romans 12:1
Surrender
Philippians 3:9-10
Galatians 1:10 my supreme passion is to please God
Luke 5:16
Jesus sought God in the wilderness; why do I try to get out of and run away from the wilderness if that’s where Jesus chose to go to find Him?
1 Peter 3:8
Let humility describe who I am
Around the House…
Um, in the last month I’ve bought four plants. I’m stoked…Chris doesn’t look stoked.
In the Kitchen…
My crockpot broke. We figured this out when I went to get dinner last night and it was still frozen. So, do I replace it with another crockpot or buy an instapot? Or both at some point?

Self Care
My gym opened today! It felt so good to be back in there! What’s so funny is the precautions they are asking everyone to take now, I was already taking, and all of us should have been taking anyway. (Please don’t @me. If you’re not comfortable going to the gym yet, that’s ok with me, don’t go. I honestly feel more protected from getting sick at the gym than church. At the gun I’m not sitting in front of, behind or beside anyone for an hour and a half. And as of yet, no one has rolled up to the gym with a throw-up bucket…church is a different story, ugh!)
My body was craving something the other day, a smell, an oil, something. I stood there and sniffed various bottles until I landed on the one I needed, Valor!
Valor Essential Oil Blend combines some truly remarkable oils including Spruce, Rosewood, Blue Tansy and Frankincense to basically provide liquid courage and balance to those who use it. When we have more courage to take on new things and/or change, we are better able to release old patterns that are not working for us.

(I used to purchase my essential oils from Amazon or Edens Garden instead of a distributor. You can read my thoughts on why here, “Where I’m From…” I’ve since decided I don’t have the time or resources to properly educate myself on using the oils to their fullest potential. That’s why I signed up with Young Living under a former Family Practice Physician.)
