Welcome to my weekly post, Daybook Online Journal here at The Littlest Way. This is a post where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to…eating and cleaning and learning…These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life; and I want to remember them. I would love to read your Daybook Online Journal, just leave it in the comments section below. You can use my prompts or make up your own to include items important to you; mine change depending on season and circumstance.
Thanking God for…
::Chris figuring out weekend schedules for me because he knows my brain doesn’t work that way…he just tells me where to go with who and when
::a tanker fire near our home with no injuries and the fire dept keeping it well contained
::the Holy Spirit overwhelming me at Mass
::rearranging the office
::good smelling shampoo and conditioner
::creating a printable/computer and phone wallpaper for our Sirach Bible Study and Journaling I’m working on right now
Praying…
::for my grandpa’s soul
::for our priests
::my husband and children
::myself as I continue to write this Bible Study and Journal
::a few private intentions
How can I pray for you this week? Leave it in the comments or email me for private intentions.
Pondering…
Right now I’m pondering book covers, lol! I want a cover for our study and journal to have a continuity to it since, please God, I pray this study will eventually include all the books of the Bible.
Listening to…
I vary music while I’m writing. Anything from Classical to Classical rock, Christian to Country. As I write this Daybook post, I’m listening to “Gordon Lightfoot and More.” It’s an Amazon Prime music station. I also hear my children playing something…loudly.

My large print Bible
Bible Journaling…
Right now, each morning Monday through Friday a group of us meet on Periscope to study the scriptures together. We then journal them–pen and paper, verse mapping or art, as part of our Bible journaling. (Replays are found here on Katch.)
Around the House…
Between soccer games and writing, I haven’t done laundry this weekend. Y’all know what I’ll be doing Monday…before more soccer and writing.
In the Kitchen…
Monday–Spaghetti w/meatballs
Tuesday–Refried Beans w/tortilla chips and cheese
Wednesday–Cowboy Grub
Thursday–Chicken Tacos and Refried Beans
Friday–Mac-n-nCheese
I’ve been using this collagen in my Trim Healthy Mama shakes for a couple of months. I was telling Chris about how my shoulders don’t hurt anymore and I think it’s because of the collagen. He started using it in his tea and said his knee doesn’t hurt anymore. So much so, as soon as we run out, he asks me to order more! That is so unlike him, lol! Tonight I bought this brand because it has Vitamin C added.
Our Domestic Church…
Dawn, at By Sun and Candlelight has some lovely resources for living the liturgy. I am working towards being so organized.

Praying for you and all who read your blog too…

I’ve never been to a retreat although I know they are highly recommended. Always prayers 🙂

I’m thanking God for:
Remembering how important my gratitude journal is. It’s like an eclipse, where the negative blots out the good. Yep, it’s time.
The last Bible Study I did here at the Littlest Way because it was a catalyst on my road to a long awaited healing.
A new parish that I feel confident is where we belong. And my husband’s agreement and attendance. It wasn’t always that way.
An awareness and healing, complements of the Holy Spirit, of those that I may have only forgiven on the surface, but not really.
A husband who provides for us. Who doesn’t say a word when my feet are cold in the am, and I take the socks he has ready for the day in his shoes while he sleeps.
Charlotte’s Web was my first chapter book and still on my top ten favorites list. It’s when I fell in love with the idea of farm life. Good thing you can’t smell in books. 🙂 Anyway, that picture is so very precious. Those are the moments to cherish really. How often I just want to get to the “next thing”.
I’m reading Heaven Changes Everything: Living Every Day With Eternity in Mind, by Todd and Sonja Burpo. I like it a lot. I’m finishing up Resisting the Devil by Neal Lozano. Priceless. And his other book Abba’s Heart is waiting on my Kindle. I also have Thirsting For Prayer by Jacques Philippe in my cart, so hopefully that’s next. I love how God guides me to books. This morning I found my Scriptural Rosary that includes the Luminous Mysteries! Very excited about that since we have taken up the family Rosary. Again, it wasn’t always that way, so although it’s not exactly consistent, I’ll have to admit it’s a long awaited answer to prayer. Keep on people, keep on… Trust in Jesus. Nothing is in vain.
I printed out 2 Timothy today for the kids and me to journal on. I’m still pondering 1:7. I printed out the synonyms and antonyms for cowardice.
I’m inspired to run to Michael’s and grab some stamps and things. I love stamps!! I love tape too. If I could get a hold of gold foil tape I’d turn all of the old books into Golden Books!! My father used Duct tape for everything. lol. I’m going to check out that washi tape too. 🙂 Thanks for the inspiration.
I am with you on the collagen. I wasn’t sure if it was my imagination or what. This week is Pearl’s chili. I designated my older daughter for the task. She makes a mock corn bread (from the book I think) that is really good with it.
I’ll be having some female surgery on Thursday (outpatient) so I’d love some prayers for that. Also, my husband was supposed to have his on Tues., but someone dropped the referral bomb. Praying for God’s will and timing. Thanks for the offer.
I’m praying for safety (from the adversary) and restoration for my whole family! I want all of us to be the best-version-of-ourselves! The one that God thought up. I’m praying for the spouses, if it’s His will, for my children. And my marriage.
God bless and hope to listen in on a Periscope this week sometime. I’m praying for you.

Girl, my gratitude journaling has slipped and thus my sense of gratitude.
I’ve seen Lazano’s book but they seem a bit scary to me. No?
I LOVE Thirsting for Prayer!!
Have you had your surgery yet? Let me know when so I can pray especially for you and all intentions surrounding.
