I’m keeping a running list of thanksgiving–30 Days of Thanksgiving to be exact–for the month of November. I’m forcing myself to remember Thanksgiving is a choice, a way of thinking and a way of life. It’s more than just a day at the end of the month of November. I’m inviting you to please join me. Who cares if it’s already November 11th, jump in anyway! If you blog, leave a link in the comments. If you don’t leave your list in the comments.

Today, I’m especially thankful for scripture time in the morning. I’m thankful for people who have taught me never to underestimate it’s power to heal and lead and transform me into who I am meant to be. 😉
Thanks be to God for:
Recently, I bought a laptop from QVC. We operate with one computer and it is challenging at times with so many children and homeschooling. Since I chose a payment plan, it would be easier and the deal could not be beat. It came in the mail and although the kids were excited, I didn’t feel completely at peace financially. So, it took a while, but I finally sent it back. I felt so much better. I knew it was the right thing.
God rewarded my efforts. A couple of days later, I was on a run/walk when my neighbor stopped me to tell me that I had a laptop coming my way from a Veteran’s group. Although we spoke of the possibility over the summer, I wasn’t really expecting it. Bam. God is good in every way.
Now, to be thankful for something that doesn’t seem very good in the moment. Motherhood.

God is so good! My prayers for you momma. This is a hard lot we have. I told my spiritual father the other day–if we say anything about motherhood being hard we can be met with one of two responses typically:
1. You should have though of that first–you know what causes that, etc…
2. You think you;ve got it bad let me tell you about me–a game of one-up-menship
So we just stay quiet. I will noth answer either of those ways. I will tell you again–Prayers for you during this time.

Well done for finishing your Advent Devotional! Do you think you could also give away some of your boundless energy as well???
Jenny says
Haha, I wish. That’s funny because I consider myself to be a pretty low energy girl.

I’m grateful for the mystery of time…How amazing it is Day 11 for you and already Day 12 here! How great to be united with so many lovely, prayerful people through the wonders of technology…It is like a tangible preview of the Communion of Saints…Praying with thanksgiving for you all.
Jenny says
Wow, I never thought of it as a tangible preview of the Communion of Saints. Thank you for that lovely image Clare.
