Are you ready?! Are you ready for our online Sirach Bible Study and Journal? Me too!! Let’s talk about how we’re going to do this…or at least my plan as of today for how we are going to do this. I fully anticipate the plans to be tweaked or completely changed as we go along. For example, Sue Harper over on Facebook lives in the U.K. We need to at least find a time that occasionally works for her to join us live. The other thing, I’m a wife and momma like so many of you–we have to adjust because, as life so frequently reminds us, “It’s not all about us.” That being said, I’d also like some consistency.
Here is my idea. The Sirach study has 51 chapters. That’s a lot of chapters! I think one a week will be too slow. But one a day will be too fast. Let’s try for three chapters a week.
Here’s the working schedule:
Monday: Read a chapter by yourself. You can journal, verse map or however you intend to study that chapter.
Tuesday: Meet on Facebook Live to discuss that chapter. I will specify a time and the location will be the “Bring Your Bibles” Facebook page because it’s closed and private and I can even make it secret if that would make you more comfortable for discussion. If you’re not a member just search “Bring Your Bibles” in groups and it should come up.
Wednesday: Read the next chapter. Again, journal or not on this day, it’s up to you.
Thursday: Meet on Facebook Live to discuss this chapter.
Friday: Read the next chapter, journal or no, up to you.
Saturday: I’ll start a discussion/share thread on the “Bring Your Bibles” page for the weekend. This won’t be a video. Or you may choose to share some pictures of the journaling or Bible study you’ve done during the week.
Sunday: Rest.
Repeat
Here’s something else I’d like to do. I would love for you to share images of your Sirach Bible Study and Journal as we work through it together; pictures of your book, your Bible, your quiet time spot–mine is in the car during soccer practice many nights! Share these images on social media so we can keep up with each other that way too. Use the hashtag #TLWSirach so we can search for each other. And when we find each other, leave a comment, say hello, let each other know you see each other. Even a “Like” on Facebook or a “Heart” on Instagram tells someone who feels unseen, “I see you beautiful sister.”
Also, remember if you take a picture of your book before midnight the 29th, you are entered to win some sweet little goodies I have for you as a way to say “Thank You.”

I can’t find the Facebook group you are talking about, can you help me out?
Sue Fichter says
What a great schedule! My only suggestion would be to vary the Live broadcasts (morning/evening/maybe afternoon) if your schedule permits, so that it’s not always the same people who are unavailable.

Great minds think alike!

I would love to join but I do not have Facebook or Instagram, nor do I want them. (I waste enough time on the computer already!)
Have a great time
Lisa Faris says
I can’t wait for this to start. I might not be able to join all the chats, life happens, but I will be following and catching up on the weekends on everyone’s posts.
Jenny says
Hi Lisa. I just posted over in the “Bring Your Bibles” Facebook group, since we’re meeting 2x a week, one time will be in the morning and one in the evening so hopefully everyone can participate live. Saturday’s will be a thread for anyone and everyone to post their pictures and reflections and on Sunday’s I will be posting the week’s videos here on The Littlest Way. Hopefully that covers everyone who wants to participate 🙂
Karen says
I, too, would like to save the emails to do later..won’t always be available for live chat. Looking forward to it!
Jenny says
Hey Karen, I just replied to Lisa about this very topic. We’ll be alternating times during the week so hopefully we can catch most if not all at least once a week.
Anne says
Jenny , I am not on Facebook. Is any of this available as a public Facebook pg so I dont need to join? Thank you.
Jenny says
Hey Anne, of course! I plan on posting the week’s videos here on Sunday. They won’t be live but it’s still a way to follow along. Hmm, public Facebook? Let me think about that one ok.
Marcie says
Jenny that sounds great to me. I can work around what ever works. I will miss some because of two more upcoming surgery, but I can catch up. Can’t wait to begin.

Hi Marcie, I just posted over on the Facebook page that I will be alternating the times in an effort to include everyone. I’m so excited!
Carol says
I’m not sure my comment made it. Silly me, I pushed the wrong key.
Is it possible to “save” the lessons on my email to take later?
I really would love to do this but
I am frequently not home at specific times.
❤️
Jenny says
Hmm, let me think about that could be done and get back to you.
Jenny says
Carol, I;ve decided I will try to post the videos here on Sundays so everyone can follow along. I say try, because I think I can post Facebook videos here???
Carol says
Is it possible to take this study, save the emails, and do the study later?
I really would love to do this but I am frequently
Unavailable at specific time.❤️
Cindy says
Sounds like a good plan! See you then!
