Welcome to the Daybook Journal. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.
* I’ve written an ebook to guide you through the whys and hows to get started with Bible Journaling, Bible Journaling Tips, Inspiration and Permission, and to encourage and inspire you in your Bible journaling!

Praying…
I’m praying my girl meets her goal. (You can watch the videos to see her heart for this cause.) Her heart is big and was literally cracked wide open over this story she shares. I wasn’t here when she read it, felt it, and decided to do something about it. It was a lot for her to take in, process, make a plan, and realize it was a lot for her to take and process. We made many trips around the gravel drive sorting this out once I got back.
Pondering…
I’m pondering the final words from our sermon today, “Go out into the deep…don’t be afraid.”
Listening to…
Everyone is in bed already, I’m writing this Sunday night. The ceiling fan is twirling, the dishwasher just stopped, and I hear the night bugs outside–I missed hearing them at the beach. As much as I love the beach and the ocean, I really missed hearing the wind in the trees here on the farm. Both are good, different, but good.

Bible Journaling…
I haven’t touched a Bible journaling supply in over a week and need to remedy that asap! I have plans for the Illustrated Faith ‘Stronger Together’ kit this week♥
Around the House…
I have one last load of vacation laundry to wash! I hustled the laundry yesterday and today and thought I was finished…until a child confessed to not unpacking last night, so one more to go. Now it’s all piled on the couches waiting to be folded and said child who didn’t unpack when told is my folding help tomorrow.
In the Kitchen…
I placed a Walmart online grocery order as we were driving through the middle of nowhere Texas yesterday so I could pick up groceries as soon as we got home. The plan this week is to get back into home food and meals verse vacation food and “meals.”

Self Care
I took my Bible on vacation but didn’t read it faithfully like I have been here at home. It was windy, humid, and I was totally out of my routine. I can tell. I also didn’t eat like I normally do which produced some good and bad results. I didn’t drink enough for the conditions and travel, but I honestly never drink enough. I did walk a few miles on the beach daily and I slept fairly regular hours. Oh, we didn’t follow our family prayer routine mainly because I would get the younger boys to bed while Chris and the older kids were still on the beach swimming or fishing–again, out of our routine. And again, I can tell.

Our Domestic Church…
Are you writing along with us for the month of June? I already know what July’s Scripture Writing Plan will be and I’m super excited for it!
Saving Money…
Um, vacation had some unexpected expenses. We pulled our camper down to Galveston. Somewhere between home and Galveston the air conditioner on the camper broke…and the refrigerator. And yes, we checked them out and ran them before we left and they were working just fine. We purchased a portable air conditioner at Walmart, unexpected expense. We went without a fridge and just went to Walmart daily for food. Unexpected expenses every single time we walked into the store. And within the last hour from home, going up a big hill hauling our camper, something happened to the Suburban. Chris has replaced all he knows to replace and fixed the obvious culprits with no success. Pray the car will get itself back into shape! It’s driveable but is acting up.
