Welcome to the Daybook Journal. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.
* I’ve written an ebook to guide you through the whys and hows to get started with Bible Journaling, Bible Journaling Tips, Inspiration and Permission, and to encourage and inspire you in your Bible journaling!
Thanking God for…
::my rose bush out back blooming every year right around Mother’s Day
::our entire family at Mass together 2 Sunday’s before–it was like an early Mother’s Day present
::sitting outside in the morning reading my Bible and praying
::upgrading my phone–my phone is my very first smartphone and it’s almost six years old
::my teens inviting me to go places with them
::open windows
Praying…
I started praying a couple of binding prayers Sunday during Mass. Within two hours I had one of the worst headaches I’ve ever had and a seriously weird and wild anxiety attack. Unhappy enemy much?!? I used a binding prayer from this book, Deliverance Prayers: For Use by the Laity. A friend suggested I add the Protection Prayer and Prayer Against Retaliation from the Enemy.
Pondering…
The recurring theme that just keeps coming up in my daily Bible reading is about friendships and the people we surround ourselves with. You know the quote, ‘You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with,’ yeah, so serious food for thought. Who are the five I spend the most time with? Text? Meet for coffee or lunch? Call?
Listening to…
The dryer and the ceiling fan. The song on repeat around here is, Reckless Love

The One Year Bible – Catholic: NLT
This is my “quantity” Bible to make sure I get the Word inside me each and every day. *I’m still on track! This Bible is honestly so easy to read as far as translation and just ease of not flipping back and forth between books.
Catholic Journaling Bible
This is my study Bible.

Fierce Faith: A Woman’s Guide to Fighting Fear, Wrestling Worry, and Overcoming Anxiety
Bible Journaling…
We’ve had a whirlwind week so I didn’t sit down and do any creative journaling. I do take notes in my Bible almost every day though; I consider that Bible Journaling as well. I share them daily on my Instagram account. Click here to follow my account.
Around the House…
Tonight is hot and muggy but I’m trying to hold off turning on the air conditioner. It’s the original 1984 air conditioner and the last couple of years it’s needed to be babied along. Um, there’s no money budgeted for a new air conditioner.
In the Kitchen…
Time to kick up using the crockpot and Instantpot because I don’t want to heat up the kitchen. And I want Chris to grill more on Sundays. I don’t eat enough protein so I want him to grill some extra meat on Sunday that I can piece out through the week for lunches.

Self Care
You know I thought I either broke my big toe or hyperextended it so I haven’t been walking on the treadmill. Last week I tweaked my shoulder–probably working out and stress so there went weights! I’m happy to report the last two days I’ve walked two miles on my treadmill!! I’m so thankful too because did you know walking is one for the best of the best remedies for anxiety? Speaking of anxiety, I have been wearing Worry Less and using as necessary Anxiety Ease.

The Littlest Way
Sunday at church I was so overwhelmed with what God was showing me about The Littlest Way and how to organize and arrange a dream I have for us that I had to leave the church to wipe my eyes and find a pen to write down what was impressed upon me.
Our Domestic Church…
I love that the month of May is traditionally reserved for remembering the Mother of Jesus and it also celebrates the secular holiday of Mother’s Day.
Saving Money…
Aldis and Walmart Online Grocery for the win! Seriously, I cannot believe how much money I save each week. Use this link to receive $10 off your first online grocery order.
Last month I committed to exercising with a purchased Fitness Blender workout series, it was $10. I promised myself if I did the entire month I would buy myself a new pair of tennis shoes. Once I completed the workouts, I found the shoes I wanted and then watched prices for two weeks to find the best deal. I ended up finding the best deal at Academy but they didn’t have my size. They did offer to order them and have them shipped free to my house so now I’m stalking the mailbox.
