Welcome to the Daybook Journal. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.
* I’ve written an ebook to guide you through the whys and hows to get started with Bible Journaling, Bible Journaling Tips, Inspiration and Permission, and to encourage and inspire you in your Bible journaling!

Praying…
This Sunday at Mass, I was overcome with the crosses everyone carries. On my way in I stopped and spoke with the RE Director whose husband was recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and has his first 6-hour chemo treatment on Monday–this after battling pancreatitis for almost 10 years. They found cancer in his skull, arm bone and pelvis. PLease pray for them. My dear friend struggling with Menieres and migraines for years. During Mass, a little girl in front of us had a seizure. Of course, I have been following the tragic story of Alfie in the UK who died this weekend. And even the small, seemingly insignificant crosses everyday that slowly wear us down.
Pondering…
This was from my Sunday morning Bible reading. These were screenshots from my Instagram Stories.
Also, thank for your positive feedback through the years on these Daybook Journal posts, they are so much fun to write! I get a chance teach week to intentionally sit down and consider all my blessed ordinary.

The One Year Bible – Catholic: NLT
This is my “quantity” Bible to make sure I get the Word inside me each and every day.

This is my study Bible.
I just started Hello Mornings and it is so good!
Bible Journaling…
Did you see the new Bible Journaling printable set I posted about this week? I’ve already used them for Rahab and will use them this week for Gideon; such a fascinating Old Testament story!
Around the House…
We have a super busy week. The older girls have Homeschool Nationals this week, Bernadette comes home for six days, we have a Graduation party planned for Veronica, Anna and Bridget have a piano recital, Maximilian is playing in a soccer tournament over the weekend and the usual wide and large family day-to-day.
In the Kitchen…
I’m so hungry for salad but so afraid of e-coli! Also, I don’t think I eat near enough protein. Also, I don’t drink near enough on a daily basis. I seriously need to work on both of those.
I asked Bernadette what she wanted to eat while she was here. She requested Venison Chili, Tacos, Cowboy Cookies, and Chai Tea.
Self Care
I really don’t want to be one of those annoying people that’s all, “You should exercise! You’ll have more energy! You’ll feel great!” But honestly, you will. I wish I would have started sooner. I wish I would have made the time and commitment to do this when my babies were all little because the Lord knows that’s when I was so tired and sorely lacked energy.
I started in December by doing a Fitness Blender stretching video. Search for them on their website or on Youtube. Since then I’ve added some strength training and walking on the treadmill–except I haven’t walked on the treadmill in almost 3 weeks because I think I may have broken my big toe, or at least hyperextended it! Yikes! But I think, maybe, ever so slightly it’s healing. But I’ve still been stretching and strength training.
I dropped my bottle of Goodnight on my bedroom floor the other day and it bounced around a couple of times so my now my bedroom smells good. (I purchase my essential oils from Amazon or Edens Garden instead of a distributor. If you’re not an Amazon Prime member with FREE shipping, Edens Garden has FREE shipping all the time in the US.)
The Littlest Way
The more I look into building community here through various means, the more confused and frustrated I become. I know some of you are not on Facebook and I would never encourage someone to get on there–it took me until a couple of years ago and honestly if it wasn’t for The Littlest Way, I probably still wouldn’t be on there. That being said, it is the easiest place to host a private group and have live video. Things here and what we can do and I can better serve are constantly at the forefront of my mind.
Our Domestic Church…
Maybe around 16ish years ago I made my Total Consecration to Jesus. Most of my children have made their Consecrations through the years as well. This year Luke, Bridget, and Maximilian will make theirs. A month ago we read 33 Days to Morning Glory and last week started Marian Consecration for Children and LOVE IT! I cannot stand saccharine, watered down books abotu the faith for kids and was afraid this one would be. Total Consecration is a big, deep subject and I was afraid of how this book would approach it. It does a beautiful job! And I would absolutely recommend this to adults who want to learn more about Total Consecration.

Saving Money…
I have kind of figured out a good shopping routine between Aldis and Walmart Online Grocery Pickup. Chris said he thought he heard Sams Club now does Online Grocery as well. I need to check into that because Sams is cheaper than both Aldis and Walmart on a few things but I cannot run around to 3 different stores. Thankfully, even though I live in the country, all three stores are within a mile of each other (or less) and only 15 minutes from home.
I have found I save on average $50-$75 a week using Walmart Online Grocery Pickup and Aldis verses when I only shopped Walmart and actually went into the store and walked the aisles. Use this link to receive $10 off your first online grocery order.
