Welcome to the Daybook Journal. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.
* I’ve written an ebook to guide you through the whys and hows to get started with Bible Journaling, Bible Journaling Tips, Inspiration and Permission, and to encourage and inspire you in your Bible journaling!

Praying…
Got my candle lit girls, the prayers are never-ending, aren’t they? This morning, as I was showering, a scripture verse came to mind and so I started praying the Lord would keep my children’s path straight. I prayed they would never stray or wander from Him and His ways. I looked the verse up later, “In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:6
Pondering…
I’m reading Fierce Faith: A Woman’s Guide to Fighting Fear, Wrestling Worry, and Overcoming Anxiety and every page has a beautiful nugget of conviction! “…we aren’t talking about God-given, healthy fear here. We’re talking about fear of the future, the what-if situations that keep us up at night worrying, the anxiety that keeps us from living a life with confidence. we are talking about the God-distracting fear that steals our joy and keeps us off the path we are meant to follow.”
Listening to…
Maximilian and Leo are playing legos, the washer and dryer are running and I’m listening for my phone to ring because my spiritual father should be calling for spiritual direction soon–my direction, not his.

Bible Journaling…
This week I will release some Bible journaling printables. They are a set of ‘Character Sketch’ printables to help us understand who we are reading about in the Scriptures.
Around the House…
I almost hate to say this one out loud, but, I have a goal to have all my laundry washed, dried, folded, and put away by 3-4pm everyday. We’ll see. Also on the homemaking front, I need to stay out of Hobby Lobby because going in there makes me want all the things.
In the Kitchen…
We took my Suburban in Friday for a $200(ish) repair. Chris told him we would be taking it on a trip in a couple of months and asked him to just check a few things out. Well, $700(ish) later…the grocery budget is TIGHT for the next two weeks. Thankfully, we have beef from our cow, venison from hunting season, and chicken from Zaycon (I ordered a case of boneless, skinless chicken breasts at 1.89 a pound a couple of months ago) in the freezer. Now I just need to figure out sides–which I absolutely stink a million stinky deaths at!!
Self Care
I am still working out! I love the Fitness Blender videos and am just days away from earning my new shoes! I promised myself that if I completed a 28-day program, I would buy myself some new Nike shoes. I probably won’t buy them yet–see car repair above– but I will have earned them! In essential oil news, my tummy has been upset the last coupld of days. We always get BBQ when we shear and I ate some chips, a cookie, and BBQ sauce I’m sure sweetened with sugar so my tummy has been upset. Last night when I couldn’t sleep I put a little Digest Ease on my tummy to help my tummy and a little Goodnight on my pillow to help me sleep. Happy to report they both worked. (You can read here why I purchase my essential oils from Amazon or Edens Garden instead of a distributor. If you’re not an Amazon Prime member with FREE shipping, Edens Garden has FREE shipping all the time in the US.)
The Littlest Way
Not really Littest Way related but I’m pretty sure I need one of these eventually. Littlest Way related, I have a set a deadline for finishing the Tobit Bible Study and Journal. It’s been a long time in the making and I appreciate your patience. It will be along the same lines as the Sirach Bible Study and Journal.
Our Domestic Church…
Veronica and I were in the store the other day and saw some pretty veils–headcoverings. I’ve been wearing a veil to Mass for 20+ years and that’s all my girls have ever known. As my children have gotten older, I try not to assume they will always do some things like we’ve always done some things–like veiling for instance. I was going to buy myself a new veil and Veronica said she wanted one as well. I asked her what if she was the only one veiling at college and she said, “Then everyone will know me as the girl who veils.” Yes, I bought her a new one as well as the other two girls living at home. Again, I never want to assume my girls will continue this as they move out.
Saving Money…
See my car repair story above, and we just paid our taxes, and we’re trying to save for a little family vacation camping trip, and we have a graduation party coming up…we try to save by eating simply and frugally. We also save by shopping Goodwill (GW Boutique.) Did you catch that Veronica found a beautiful designer formal dress at GW Boutique for $10!!!! It needed a slight alteration which our neighbor did–we could have but she sews regularly.
