Welcome to the Daybook Journal. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.
* I’ve written an ebook to guide you through the whys and hows to get started with Bible Journaling, Bible Journaling Tips, Inspiration and Permission, and to encourage and inspire you in your Bible journaling!

Praying…
Ugh. Did you catch the daily affirmations post last week about being a woman of prayer? Y’all, my prayer life needs to step it up and get itself organized!
Pondering…
I’m pondering a wide family, I think that’s the phrase Kendra came up with. In four months I will have two living away from home. I also have a six-year-old baby and four in between–three of them teens. Like which emotion am I supposed to be feeling right now?!?
Listening to…
Quiet. Chris took the kids to soccer practice so I could knowck out some work, including this post. The older two girls are in their rooms doing school or reading (I think).

The One Year Bible – Catholic: NLT
This is my “quantity” Bible to make sure I get the Word inside me each and every day.
Catholic Journaling Bible
This is my study Bible.
Marian Consecration for Children–I just started reading this to the kids in the morning.
Bible Journaling…
I had so much fun last week journaling! Here’s the Instagram post and if you’re not a friend on IG, click the ‘Follow’ button so we can find each other over there too! And then the post, Catholic Journaling Bible: Made to Shine. You’ll hopefully enjoy the process walkthrough, including scrounging and borrowing supplies!
Around the House…
Never.Ending.
Thank You God.
In the Kitchen…
We had tacos on Sunday night for dinner and I think Leo and Max each ate six! I swear I feed these guys, they must have been super hungry for tacos!!! I ate a bunch of salads last week…then I read about the Romaine recall. Tell me some of your favorite salad toppings and ideas. I LOVE a big salad but I never know what all to put on them.
Self Care
I am still going strong working out with my Fitness Blender 4-week program I purchased. Remember, I put together my own program for a month and a half, maybe two and rewarded my faithfulness by purchasing a 4-week program. When I finish it, I think I’m going to reward myself with a new pair of shoes. I bought my last pair of tennis shoes when I was pregnant with maybe Leo or before? He’s 6 now. Oh, and I think I may have broken my big toe but there’s nothing they can do for that I learned when I took Veronica a couple of years ago, so I haven’t been walking on my treadmill which is bothering my mind. Did you know walking is one of the BEST treatments for anxiety? Sure is!
(You can read here why I purchase my essential oils from Amazon or Edens Garden instead of a distributor. If you’re not an Amazon Prime member with FREE shipping, Edens Garden has FREE shipping all the time in the US.)

Ladies, so many things swirling around. So many plans and ideas. Now I just need the clarity and focus to line them all out for us. Please pray. And, I know I mentioned building community here instead of on social media, and I’m still trying, the thing is, considering all costs and the work involved, right now, a private Facebook group is the best option.
Our Domestic Church…
May is coming up quickly. Traditionally May has been a special month to honor the Blessed Mother of Jesus. Do you have any plans? What do you normally do?
Saving Money…
Anna and I ran into Walmart the other day to grab a few things…$230 later…Moral of the story, I save so much money using Walmart’s Online Grocery Pickup and Aldis. Here’s my referral link to Walmart Grocery Pickup, it saves you $10 off your first order.

My SIL used to make a great salad: romaine with red onion, feta cheese, avocado, and chopped walnuts (all these on top of the lettuce in the big bowl, not tossed with it). Balsamic vinaigrette dressing!
Jenny says
Oh yummy! I ran to the store tonight and totally forgot the red onions, ugh!
Michelle says
Name brand sneakers, including Nike (the light airy ones) are on sale now at JC Penny. And do you use the WM Savings Catcher? I thought that they’d done away with it, but no. I’m already up to over $10 in just a couple of months. I love Walmart.
Jenny says
Thanks for the heads up about the shoes 🙂 I think I still have a Savings Catcher account? I need to check that. That’s the one problem with the online grocery shopping, I can’t use Ibotta. But, I save so much more online than using Ibotta so it’s still a better deal for me.
