In today’s Nook Notes I share one of my favorite books–if I could have keep a handful of my books kind of favorite. Let’s talk about the book Mother Love: A Manual for Christian Mothers. This book is a a prayer book, book for Mass, catechism and instruction manual for mommas all in one.
Book Notes: Divine Mercy for Moms
Today I’m going to share my book notes from Divine Mercy for Moms. I really enjoyed this book, especially since we are in the Year of Mercy. I especially loved how the authors gave concrete examples of how mommas can live mercifully while staying true to their vocation–it’s not either or.
Bible Journaling: A Powerful New Method
Ready for a POWERful new method to help you as you study the scriptures? This post outlines a new acronym I use for “old school” Bible journaling. I’ve included a set of free bookmarks using this POWERful method as well.
Bible Journaling in the New Year
I mentioned briefly in yesterday’s Daybook Online Journal post about thoughts and ideas I had for us to share the scriptures in the New Year. My thoughts are centered on practicing lectio divina alongside Bible journaling. So let’s define the two and see how they will pair nicely with each other as we begin our Bible Journaling in the New Year.
I Want to Journal Bible Quotes (AKA Bible Journaling)
Hi, I’m Jenny and I’m addicted to pretty journals, pens, highlighters and Pins featuring colorful scripture journals. I want to journal Bible quotes…but I can’t. It’s not that I don’t try–believe me I do. It’s not that I don’t have the right tools–believe me I do. Ahem, I visit office supply stores and the school supply aisle like some women seek out good chocolate or great shoes. I think it’s my perfectionist tendencies. Yep, I think my inner perfect–who my husband wishes would show herself useful around the house–that keeps me from journaling inspiring Bible quotes. Ever wanted a peak into my mind? Keep reading and you’ll understand why I can’t journal Bible quotes…
Book Club Time: Spiritual Reading
For as many sentences that start with “I saw this thing on Pinterest…” There may be equal number of sentences that begin with, “Before the internet…” And here’s mine, “Before the internet, I read more books.” Reading less books since the internet, well, that hasn’t stopped me from buying more books though. Wham, there’s a double confession! So each week here on The Littlest Way, I’m going to share some of my favorite books I’ve read. The accountability of posting on my Book Club Time Page will make me read more, theoretically. Why the sudden enthusiasm, St Josemaria Escriva and his writings in The Way. As I read bits and pieces of it the other night, I thought of sharing our favorites in a Book Club Time: Spiritual Reading post.
