P –Lord, forgive my sloth. I want to be a saint, I want to raise saints. But it’s hard and tiring work. I pray for fortitude and courage to carry on.
O –The Christian life is not passive. The paralytic’s friends carried him to Jesus. After healing the paralytic, Jesus tells him to get up and carry his bed and go home. Jesus called Matthew while he was working. Jesus is recored as going about preaching and healing.
W —vs 24…he said, “Depart; for the girl is not dead but sleeping.” And they laughed at him.
E –…”and they laughed at him.” Jesus ignored those who laughed at Him. He went about His business. Anyone trying to follow You will be laughed at. I need to ignore it and go about my business. I need to look to You and stop listening to the voices of the world laughing at my vocation: Christian, Catholic, wife, mother, homeschooler, friend.
R –I want to live for you without hearing the world. I want to raise children who are strong enough to be salt and light in a darkened world. I want to laugh because “The joy of the Lord is my strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10)

P: What does courage have to do with forgiveness? Show me Lord.
O: Jesus is concerned with the paralytic’s spiritual healing first. If I could pick one thing to be healed, what would it be?
W: Faith precedes healing.
E: If my faith and trust would increase, I could be more productive in His ministry of healing.
R: Just for today Lord, increase my faith so that I may trust in your word.
