Welcome to How to Live the Little Way. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.
Thanking God for…

::puffy, white clouds
::rain in the forcast–our ponds and pastures need it

::Psalm 121
Praying…
I’m praying for peace of heart and mind. I’m praying for good medical advice. I’m praying I’m more cautious and aware of the sun without becoming freaky about it. I’m praying for Chris who lets me lean hard on him.
Pondering…
I’m pondering the cumulative effect of everything–the sun on our skin, the people we spend the most amount of time with, how we spend our time, time spent with God, what we read, what we listen to, etc. I’m also pondering Psalm 121 in the New Living Translation
1 I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there?
2 My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth!
3 He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber.
4 Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps.
5 The LORD himself watches over you! The LORD stands beside you as your protective shade.
6 The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night.
7 The LORD keeps you from all harm and watches over your life.
8 The LORD keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.

Bible Reading…
When the Dermatologist’s office called Tuesday, I was pretty shocked and shaken up. I went to my Bible for words of comfort, consolation, truth, direction, etc. I knew for sure the Psalms would have what I needed, I just didn’t know how perfectly. My daily Bible is the New Living Translation and when I grabbed it to search through the Psalms, I had no idea I would find verses about God being my shade and the sun not hurting me.
Around the House…
We go pick Veronica up from college in less than two weeks! She’s looking for a full-time nanny job so we’re not sure if she’ll be living here or somewhere else, but we do know her stuff, plus her roommate’s stuff will be living here. We need to figure out where we’re going to keep it over the summer; we didn’t want them to pay to ship it home or pay for a storage unit when we have the room somewhere.
In the Kitchen…
The most helpful thing I do for myself and family in the kitchen is when I brown a bunch of burger and freeze it. Also when I cook a bunch of chicken in the crockpot and shred it up and then freeze it.
I’m getting better about being back in the meal planning mode for dinners, now I just need to get back to lunches too.

Self Care
I have been enjoying hot Epsom Salt baths with Vetiver and Frankincense essential oil in it. I can honestly tell you I took the call from the nurse so much better on Tuesday because I had just gotten out of a hot Vetiver bath. I was feeling agitated and restless earlier that morning; I was also considering calling the doctor to see if my biopsy results were in yet. The kids were settled and doing school so I went and took a hot bath thinking I would call them after my bath. When I got out I saw that I had missed a call and the voice mail was from the doctor. Ugh. God’s timing and providence through y’all. When I called back he was out to lunch and I spoke with a kind nurse who was patient and caring, answering my questions or rather, filling in the questions because I couldn’t think of what to ask.
