Welcome to How to Live the Little Way. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.

Praying…
I’m praying truth, clarity, and lack of distraction over some big ideas and dreams…mine and a friend’s. I’m praying to recognize opposition for what it really is and praying for the strength to push past it quickly–quickly Lord.
I’m praying prayers of thanksgiving. God knew what my heart and mind needed and He provided.
I’m praying for my 6 month dermatologist appointment this Friday–I’d appreciate it if you could send one up as well.
I’m praying always and forever for my children.
I have added a prayer before I write and also one for after I hit publish.
Pondering…
Listening to…
I cannot express how much the song, “Spirit Lead Me” is speaking straight to my soul right now…every word, every phrase, all day long.

Bible Reading…
Here are some recent notes I’ve taken on the YouVersion app. You should join me over on the app and we can share notes, reading plans, and highlights.
Psalm 121:5-6
Read this on the day my biopsy came back Melanoma in Situ
Acts of the Apostles 20:24
Chazown
1 Corinthians 12:7
Thank You Lord for the spiritual gifts You have given me for building up and encouraging the Body of Christ all for Your honor and glory!
Psalm 145:5
To meditate on them I need to know them, to know them I need to learn them…read my Bible
Psalm 139:7
I can’t escape because You can’t leave
Around the House…
The weather has finally cooled off! But I can’t open the windows yet because Chris’ allergies are so bad…UGH! There’s not much going on, the usual–everything always seems like it’s never been dusted, as soon as I mop a floor someone spills or says something like, “Where did all this sand in my shoe come from?” And as soon as I get the laundry caught up, there’s more than before.
Thanks be to God for a healthy, happy family living in these walls!
In the Kitchen…
I bought new cutting boards and I’ve resigned myself that I need to–have to shop 2 places, Aldis and Walmart to work on our grocery budget. I would prefer one or the other but that’s just not a reality and our grocery budget needs some serious work!
This summer our friend made homemade eggrolls. Oh my goodness so yummy! So good that Bridget requested them for her birthday dinner.

Self Care
Hot Epsom Salt Vetiver baths are my favorite! I will be taking more than normal this week. I mentioned I have my 6 months follow up with the dermatologist on Friday. I also have the one year anniversary of my grandma’s death this week. Trying to keep a light and positive mindset this week, but there are some things weighing on it like the two I just mentioned.
(I used to purchase my essential oils from Amazon or Edens Garden instead of a distributor. You can read my thoughts on why here, “Where I’m From…” I’ve since decided I don’t have the time or resources to properly educate myself on using the oils to their fullest potential. That’s why I signed up with Young Living under a former Family Practice Physician.)
When you purchase your Premium Starter Kit this month, Young Living is offering FREE SHIPPING and I’m offering a $25 Amazon gift card or $25 Paypaled to you, your choice. Click here for more info!
The Littlest Way
I have taken some emotional and spiritual hits lately. They were pretty brutal and left me doubting my voice, my influence, my purpose. Not good, not good for anyone but especially a writer and blogger. I’ve mentioned on social media last week that I spent some time doing some hard, deep, soul searching and although painful, it was so worth it! I know things around here will reflect the soul-stretching I just did and continue to do. Today as a matter of fact, three days after I thought I had finished the process, I was wrestling with some of the same old demons that had been haunting me. But God…WOW! He is so good and His timing put a quote right in front of my face that once explained to me, provided even more clarity and purpose than before!
Captured…
Michelle says
Praying for your derm appointment. And for a continual increase in the knowledge of His perfect love for you. A picture alone cannot fully capture the depth of your beauty.
