Welcome to my weekly post, Daybook Online Journal here at The Littlest Way. This is a post where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to…eating and cleaning and learning…These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life; and I want to remember them. I would love to read your Daybook Online Journal, just leave it in the comments section below. You can use my prompts or make up your own to include items important to you; mine change depending on season and circumstance.

Praying…
I’m praying for wisdom to understand and really see 2015 and then discernment to take what worked into 2016 and leave or change what didn’t work in 2015. I already have my one word for 2016 so I’m also praying about what it will look like in the coming year.
Pondering…
“When a mom is inspired to create, she begins to believe she has a voice worthy of being heard. Confidence takes root–and her whole family is forever influenced.”

Listening to…
I’m listening to Anna practice piano, little boys who are supposed to be in rest and quiet playing, wind chimes outside and the wind; it’s been howling the last couple of days.

Bible Journaling…
Instead of Bible Journaling the past couple of weeks, I’ve been creating a planner–undated so you only buy once. It will also come with a companion Bible Study/Journaling pages to be printed as well. I am really excited to share these with you all. I will offer them free to email subscribers for a limited time and then charge a small fee, so be watching!
Around the House…
Christmas has exploded in every room of our home!
In the Kitchen…
We always make lots of snack food for Christmas Eve. They carry us over a couple of days so none of us have to cook…we just finished our snack food. Time to meal plan and cook.
Our Domestic Church…
I’m making it a priority to live more liturgically with my little ones this year. I used to be so much better at this than I am now.

Something New…
I started a photography blog, Littlest Way Photography. For the past month I’ve been considering participating in a 365 Photography Project. Then we took family Christmas pictures and I took some informal senior pictures of my daughter. An acquaintance and I connected over Facebook and we’re working out the arrangements for me to take her daughter’s senior pictures. So everything converged and I’ve created a photography blog and side business!

Jenny,
I wanted to say “Hi!” and let you know that I’m really looking forward to seeing what your planner will be like. I’m currently working through a number of strategies to get 2016 off to a terrific start. I started a Read-the-Bible-in-a-Year program a little over a month ago, but have always been interested in Bible Journaling so I’m excited to see what you come up with. I’m a big fan of Bullet Journaling and taking the best tools from wherever I can find them. I’ve tried the annual One Word thing and it didn’t really work for me last year, but I’m hoping to come up with something this year.
Reading: I’m working my way through Dante’s The Divine Comedy, one Canto per day and today I finished Inferno and will be starting Purgatorio. I’m also reading Fr. Mitch Pacwa’s Winning the Battle Against Sin which surprised me when I picked it up at the bookstore. My wife and I were both ill over Christmas Eve and Day and extended weekend and will be visiting our children and grandchildren this next weekend to catch up.
Anyway, don’t keep up in suspense on your planner.
Jenny says
Hi Scott. I pray you and your wife are doing much better. Bible journaling is so much fun! I think what I love about it most is the flexibility; one day may just be highlighting, the next taking extensive margin notes and the next maybe an inspiration to add color and art to the pages. The planner is up and ready to be printed. Enjoy!

Can’t wait to see your planner idea. I need something like this for 2016. My word for 2016 is “change”. I need to change of lot of things, from eating more healthy(mostly whole foods), to trying to have a closer relationship to God. And I need something to help me plan! Because I can’t do it all at once. As always, I love these posts! I look forward to them every week!
Jenny says
OOh, “Change” Good one! You are so wise to realize you can’t do it all at once. Being part choleric, I once had a priest tell me, “You find a fault in yourself and expect it to be changed yesterday!” Ah, yes I do. I will be posting on my one word probably Monday. I’ve had the word for a couple of weeks now, just figuring our how it’s going to look in my life.
