Welcome to My Daybook Online Journal. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.

Bible Reading…
I’ve had (and still have a cold) this week and my Bible reading has suffered. Here are a couple of notes I’ve taken, but not many.
Psalm 95:7
If only…
Isaiah 8:19-20
Friendship
Who do I seek guidance from? Someone among the living or the dead? If someone is contradicting God’s Word they’re in the dark, not living in friendship with Jesus and so their advice and guidance are void.
1 Peter 4:2
I want to be consumed with what brings pleasure to God.
Around the House…
We are hosting my husband’s family for Christmas dinner this year so ummm…a lot will be happing soon!
In the Kitchen…
It’s cold, I have a cold, it’s been fend for yourself.

Self Care
Hot Epsom Salt baths with essential oils are a must in the winter time for me and especially when I have a cold. I’ve also been encouraging myself to drink! I swear I’m a camel with how little I drink!
(I used to purchase my essential oils from Amazon or Edens Garden instead of a distributor. You can read my thoughts on why here, “Where I’m From…” I’ve since decided I don’t have the time or resources to properly educate myself on using the oils to their fullest potential. That’s why I signed up with Young Living under a former Family Practice Physician.)

Our Domestic Church…
It’s Advent and this year has looked pretty different than years past. My Advent devotions and preparation have been slowly evolving. I’ll share more in a blog post–it might not be pretty and some might find it controversial, but trust me when I tell you I think it’s pretty good y’all.

Hi Jenny, I am in a confined area of my house today, they are installing a new furnace – it will be great to have heat again!!
I am taking advantage of being cooped up!! I have been on your web page for the last 45 minutes, catching up. You have a beautiful family and I Love that you live on a farm, I grew up on a farm, wish I lived on one now! I am a Cancer patient too – I have been in remission for 3 years – Praise God!! I think the scar on your face is looking good!
Thank you for all that you do to help us all come closer to God!! Praying for you and your family!!
Happy Advent & Christmas to you and your Family!!
Love & Peace, Vickie B.

I’m so sorry I’m just now getting back to this. It’s been a long, cold winter and I’m ready for Spring and warmth and green the promise of new life. My recent motto or mission statement here has become “To know God better through His Word and to share God more through my words.” Recently I had the spiritual impression that God didn’t want me to do more, He wanted to do more with me. Isn’t He lovely ♥
